NPG Records, 2002

Prince is universally regarded as one of the greatest live performers of his generation. Which makes it all the more remarkable that it wasn't until 2002, when Prince was already nearly three decades into his performance career, that he issued his first live album, One Nite Alone... Live!

The 27 tracks on One Nite Alone... Live! were recorded during Prince and the New Power Generation's massive One Nite Alone... Tour, and includes a mix of some of Prince's best-known hits from the '80s and early '90s alongside more recent songs like the title track of his 2001 album, The Rainbow Children.

The two-disc live album was offered as part of a box set that also included One Nite Alone... The Aftershow: It Ain't Over, which provided an unprecedented document of the legendary late-night jam sessions that were a regular occurance on Prince's tours. All of the recordings on both Live! and The Aftershow were captured by Prince's sound engineer Scottie Baldwin, who shared his thoughts about the recording process for the album's liner notes.
